University of Baroda and her Diploma in Home Science in Paris, she used her competence to set up the Textiles and Clothing Department at Nirmala Niketan, Mumbai. She was Head of the Department for fifteen years. Since she had a good, background of Chemistry she enjoyed teaching Textile Chemistry, Chemistry of Dyes and Pigments and Chemistry of Textile Auxiliaries at the Masters level.
